Need Roadside Assistance For Your Jeep?
Jeeps get stuck where other vehicles never go, and they get modified in ways that make a stock spare useless. Recovery on a Jeep is its own skill, and the transfer case is unforgiving of a driver who guesses.

Jeep roadside help, dispatched nationwide
Road Rescue Network dispatches 24/7 roadside help and recovery for the Jeep range, on pavement and off it. A Wrangler on a trail, a Grand Cherokee sitting on its air suspension, a 4xe that has to travel on a bed, or a lifted Gladiator whose factory spare no longer matches the tires on the ground. We ask what has been done to the vehicle before we send anyone, because on a Jeep the answer usually matters.
Who builds a Jeep, and why it changes the rescue
Jeep sells four wheel drive as the core of the product rather than as an option box, and a driveline that cannot be fully disconnected is the single most important fact at a recovery. Towing one on two wheels risks the transfer case, so a flatbed is the default answer here and not an upsell.
Jeep is an American automobile brand, now owned by multi-national corporation Stellantis. Jeep is part of Chrysler, who acquired the Jeep brand, along with other assets, from its previous owner, American Motors Corporation (AMC), in 1987.Jeep on Wikipedia

What a rescuer has to know before they roll on a Jeep
These are the things that go wrong when a Jeep gets whichever truck was closest instead of the right one.
The transfer case, not the transmission, has to be in neutral
Flat-towing a Wrangler or Gladiator behind a motorhome requires the transfer case put into its own neutral, following a specific sequence. Getting this wrong, or towing with the transmission in neutral and the transfer case engaged, destroys driveline parts. It is the most expensive mistake made on this make and it is made by well-meaning people every summer.
Modifications make the factory spare useless
A lifted Jeep on thirty-five or thirty-seven inch tires still carries whatever spare was mounted when it left the dealer, and frequently that spare no longer matches. Aftermarket wheels also change the bolt pattern and the lug type. We ask about lift, tire size and wheels at dispatch so the tire on the truck is the tire that fits.
Recovery points are not the same as tow hooks
A stuck Jeep gets pulled from rated recovery points, not from bumper hardware, steering components or aftermarket accessories that were never designed to take a shock load. Off-pavement recovery on a Jeep is a specialist job, and doing it from the wrong point is how people get hurt as well as how vehicles get bent.
Doors and roof come off, and that changes a stranded night
A Wrangler stranded with the doors off or the top down is an exposure and security problem as much as a mechanical one. It changes how urgent the call is, especially in weather, and it is worth saying when you ring.
4xe models are plug-in hybrids and travel on a bed
Wrangler and Grand Cherokee 4xe carry a high-voltage battery and need flatbed transport with all four wheels off the ground. As with every hybrid, the thing that usually strands them is the ordinary 12V battery rather than the traction pack.

Jumpstart and battery
Jump and on-site replacement, including 4xe models where the 12V is the usual culprit.
Lockout and fuel delivery
Jeep lockouts opened without damage, and fuel brought to the vehicle on or off pavement.
How a Jeep has to be moved
Worth reading to whoever shows up, whether or not we sent them.
Four-wheel-drive Jeeps belong on a flatbed with all four wheels off the ground, and every 4xe does. If the Jeep is being flat-towed behind a motorhome, the transfer case has to be put into its own neutral following the model's sequence, which is not the same as putting the transmission in neutral. On a stuck vehicle, the line goes to rated recovery points, never to bumper accessories or suspension parts.

Jeep roadside questions
Can I flat-tow my Wrangler behind my motorhome?
Yes, and it is one of the reasons people buy them, but the transfer case has to be placed in its own neutral by following the sequence for your model. Putting the transmission in neutral is not the same thing and doing it that way damages the driveline. If you are unsure, we would rather talk you through it than recover the result.
My Jeep is lifted on 35s. Will you have a tire that fits?
Only if you tell us at dispatch. The factory spare on a lifted Jeep frequently no longer matches, and aftermarket wheels can change the bolt pattern and lug type. Give us the tire size and wheel details on the call and the truck leaves with the right rubber.
I am stuck off pavement. Can you reach me?
Usually yes, and recovery is dispatched as its own kind of call rather than as a tow. Tell us the surface, how far off the road you are and whether the vehicle is on its wheels. The pull comes off rated recovery points, not off bumper accessories.
Does a 4xe need different handling?
It needs a flatbed, like any plug-in hybrid or electric vehicle. Worth knowing that when a 4xe will not wake up it is almost always the small 12V battery rather than the high-voltage pack, so a jump often solves what looks like a major failure.

Jeep down right now?
One number reaches a live dispatcher. Tell them the model and what it is doing, and the truck that leaves is the one that can actually take your car.
