Polestar roadside help, dispatched nationwide
Road Rescue Network dispatches 24/7 roadside help for Polestar. These share a great deal of their engineering with Volvo, which our rescuers know, and they follow the same electric-vehicle rules as everything else with a battery under the floor: flatbed only, and the small 12V is what usually strands them.
Who builds a Polestar, and why it changes the rescue
Polestar is Volvo's electric performance brand and shares platform engineering with it, which means the same very high strength steel structure and the same care about where a tool goes. The pack is in the floor and the car must be flat bedded, in transport mode, with the charge port left alone.
Polestar Automotive Holding UK PLC, or simply Polestar, is a Swedish automotive manufacturer that produces electric cars. Principally owned by Li Shufu's PSD Investment, Geely Holding and Volvo Cars, the company is headquartered in Torslanda, outside Gothenburg, Sweden. With an "asset-light" approach in development and manufacturing, Polestar does not have its own manufacturing facility; instead it produces cars in facilities controlled by Volvo or Geely in several countries, including China, the United States, and South Korea.Polestar on Wikipedia

What a rescuer has to know before they roll on a Polestar
These are the things that go wrong when a Polestar gets whichever truck was closest instead of the right one.
Flatbed with all four wheels off the ground
Towing with drive wheels turning risks the drive unit, and there is no rolling neutral once the vehicle is fully dead. This is not negotiable on any current Polestar.
Volvo bones, which helps at the roadside
Jack points, structure and much of the low-voltage architecture come from Volvo, so a rescuer familiar with those vehicles is not starting from nothing. The badge is rare, the underlying vehicle is not.
The 12V battery is the usual failure
A Polestar that will not wake up nearly always has a flat low-voltage battery and a healthy traction pack. It presents as total failure and is normally a jump.
No spare aboard
A repair kit at best. Sidewall damage means a correct-size tire brought to the vehicle or a bed.
The Polestar calls we take
Flatbed transport
All four wheels off the ground, secured at the designated points.
Dead 12V
Waking the car and replacing the low-voltage battery on-site where needed.
Flat tire and out-of-charge transport
Correct-size tires brought out, and transport to a charger that is working.
Lockout
Opened without damage, including where the 12V has died.
How a Polestar has to be moved
Worth reading to whoever shows up, whether or not we sent them.
Flatbed with all four wheels off the ground. Do not attempt to roll it once fully dead. Secure at the designated points rather than body panels.

Polestar roadside questions
Can a Polestar be towed on two wheels?
No. Flatbed, all four wheels off the ground. Wheels turning on the road can damage the drive unit and there is no rolling neutral once the car is fully dead.
The car will not respond at all.
That is usually the small 12V battery rather than the traction pack. It runs the doors and the computers, and when it goes flat the car appears completely dead. A jump normally brings it straight back.
Is there a spare?
No, a repair kit at best. If the sidewall is damaged, sealant will not hold and a matching tire is brought to you instead.
Polestar and its model names are trademarks of their owner. Road Rescue Network is an independent nationwide dispatch network and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorised agent of Polestar. We name the make because it is what our rescuers service.
Polestar down right now?
One number reaches a live dispatcher. Tell them the model and what it is doing, and the truck that leaves is the one that can actually take your car.
