Rolls-Royce roadside help, dispatched nationwide
Road Rescue Network dispatches 24/7 roadside help for Rolls-Royce. These are exceptionally heavy vehicles, which narrows the equipment that can carry them, and they are electrically dependent in ways that show up when a battery goes flat: doors, suspension and the ability to select a gear all rely on it.
Who builds a Rolls-Royce, and why it changes the rescue
Rolls-Royce operates under BMW and builds cars that are heavier again, with coach doors on several models that hinge at the rear. Those doors and the air suspension are the two things to be careful with. A car that has settled overnight can be low enough that the sills reach the ramp before the tyres do.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited is a British luxury automobile maker that has operated as a wholly owned subsidiary of BMW AG since 2003 – as the exclusive manufacturer of Rolls-Royce-badged motor cars. The company's administrative and production headquarters are located at the 42-acre (17 ha) Goodwood plant, close to Goodwood Estate in West Sussex, England, United Kingdom.Rolls-Royce on Wikipedia

What a rescuer has to know before they roll on a Rolls-Royce
These are the things that go wrong when a Rolls-Royce gets whichever truck was closest instead of the right one.
Exceptional weight narrows the truck list
Phantom and Cullinan are heavier than most full-size SUVs. A bed rated for ordinary cars is not automatically rated for one of these, and finding that out on arrival wastes everybody's evening.
Coach doors are power assisted
The rear doors on several models are hinged at the back and close under power. With a flat battery they do not behave normally, and they are heavy. It is a reason to leave them alone and let the rescuer restore power first.
Air suspension settles with no power
The car sits down when dead, reducing clearance and tightening the loading angle, exactly as it does on other air-sprung luxury vehicles.
Spectre is electric and adds the EV rules
Flatbed only, all four wheels off the ground, no rolling neutral once fully dead, and a 12V that is usually the actual fault behind an apparently lifeless car.

How a Rolls-Royce has to be moved
Worth reading to whoever shows up, whether or not we sent them.
Flatbed with all four wheels off the ground, on equipment rated for an exceptionally heavy car. Expect the air suspension to be at its lowest if the car is dead. Restore power before working the coach doors, and secure at designated points only.

Rolls-Royce roadside questions
Can any flatbed carry a Cullinan?
No. These are heavier than most full-size SUVs and the truck has to be rated for it. Say the model at dispatch so the right one is assigned rather than discovering the problem on arrival.
The rear doors will not close properly.
The coach doors are power assisted, so with a flat battery they do not behave as they should, and they are heavy. Leave them and let the rescuer restore power first.
Is a Spectre different?
It is electric, so all the usual rules apply: flatbed, all four wheels off the ground, and no rolling it in neutral when fully dead. If it appears completely lifeless, the small 12V battery is the usual cause.

Rolls-Royce down right now?
One number reaches a live dispatcher. Tell them the model and what it is doing, and the truck that leaves is the one that can actually take your car.
