Cancellation Policy
This Cancellation Policy explains how you can cancel a service request or subscription with Road Rescue Network, when a cancellation is effective, and what happens to any fees you have already paid. This policy operates under and is subject to Sections 5.3, 5.3.1, 13, and 14 of the Road Rescue Network Terms of Use, which control in the event of any conflict.
1. WHAT THIS POLICY COVERS
This Cancellation Policy covers two distinct types of cancellation:
- (a) Service Request Cancellations — one-time roadside assistance dispatches placed through Road Rescue Network by phone, web request, or AI Agent.
- (b) Subscription Cancellations — recurring monthly or annual plans for Customers, Rescuers, and commercial subscribers (fleet, insurance, or other business accounts).
- Each type has different rules. Please read the section that applies to you.
2. SERVICE REQUEST CANCELLATIONS
2.1 How to Cancel. To cancel an active service request, call our dispatch line at 1-800-673-1060 or reply CANCEL to any AI Agent SMS thread for that job. Cancellations are only effective when Road Rescue Network confirms them in our system. Voicemails, unread emails, and social-media messages do not constitute cancellation.
2.2 Cancellation Windows. The status of your job at the moment we confirm your cancellation determines your fee treatment:
- PRE-DISPATCH (before a Rescuer accepts): You may cancel with no service performed. Road Rescue Network may, at its sole discretion, refund up to fifty percent (50%) of the dispatch fee. Refunds are not guaranteed and are governed by our Refund Policy.
- DISPATCHED, NOT YET EN ROUTE (Rescuer accepted but has not left): You may cancel. The dispatch fee remains non-refundable. Rescuer may charge a call-out fee at their sole discretion.
- EN ROUTE (Rescuer is traveling to your location): You may cancel. The dispatch fee remains non-refundable, and the Rescuer may charge their full call-out or trip fee.
- ON SCENE (Rescuer has arrived) or IN SERVICE (Rescuer has begun work): Cancellation is no longer available in the ordinary sense. If you decline the completed service you must still pay the dispatch fee and any Rescuer charges accrued.
3. RESCUER-INITIATED CANCELLATIONS
3.1 Rescuer Rejects or Abandons. A Rescuer may refuse or abandon a job at any time before service begins for any reason permitted by law. Road Rescue Network will attempt to re-dispatch to another available Rescuer at no additional dispatch fee for the same request. If no other Rescuer accepts within a reasonable time, Road Rescue Network may, at its sole discretion, refund the dispatch fee in full.
3.2 No-Show. If a Rescuer accepts a job but fails to arrive within the estimated window and does not respond to Road Rescue Network dispatch attempts, you may request re-dispatch or a full refund of the dispatch fee under the Refund Policy.
4. SUBSCRIPTION CANCELLATIONS
4.1 How to Cancel. You may cancel any Road Rescue Network subscription at any time by (a) logging into your account and selecting Cancel Subscription from the Billing settings, or (b) emailing [email protected] from the address on file. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your then-current billing period, and you retain access through that date.
4.2 No Partial-Period Refunds. Consistent with Section 14 of the Terms of Use, Road Rescue Network does not provide partial-period refunds when you cancel a subscription mid-cycle, except where required by law. You will not be charged again after cancellation is confirmed.
4.3 Failed Payments. If a scheduled subscription charge fails, Road Rescue Network may retry the charge for up to fourteen (14) days and, if all retries fail, suspend access to subscription features. Reactivation requires payment of the unpaid balance plus any accrued fees.
4.4 Reactivation. You may reactivate a canceled subscription by re-subscribing at the then-current pricing. Prior-tier grandfathering is not guaranteed.
4.5 Data Retention After Cancellation. Following cancellation, Road Rescue Network retains your account data in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law. Directory listings and CRM data may be deactivated but not immediately deleted.
5. HOW CANCELLATIONS INTERACT WITH REFUNDS AND CHARGEBACKS
A cancellation is not the same as a refund. Canceling a service request or subscription stops future charges but does not automatically return money already paid. If you believe you are entitled to a refund of an amount already charged, please review the Road Rescue Network Refund Policy and submit a refund request through the process described there.
If you dispute a Road Rescue Network charge with your bank or card issuer before contacting us, the dispute will be handled under the Road Rescue Network Chargeback Policy. Chargeback disputes may result in loss of platform access and additional fees.
6. QUESTIONS
Questions about a cancellation should be sent to [email protected] or to Road Rescue Network, PO Box 807, Horsham, PA 19044.
