Houston also runs one of the heaviest oil-and-gas oversize-load corridors in North America.

Freight through Texas is generated in large part by Port of Houston (Barbours Cut + Bayport Terminals), ExxonMobil Baytown Complex, LyondellBasell Houston Refining, Halliburton (HQ + N Belt yards), Amazon (multiple Greater Houston FCs), United Airlines Cargo (IAH), USAA, Toyota Texas (San Antonio Plant), H-E-B HQ and DC, Joint Base San Antonio (Lackland/Randolph/Fort Sam), Valero Energy HQ, and Amazon SAT5/SAT6. Fleets serving operations at that scale do not measure a breakdown in hours, they measure it in missed docks, which is the standard our response times are held to.
